Leveraging professional R&D and manufacturing capabilities, Taifno supplies high-quality PTFE seals and machined components. Upon receipt of drawings and application details for these custom-shaped PTFE parts, we can provide solution recommendations and quotations within 24 hours, and offer free samples.
Custom-shaped PTFE parts (also known as non-standard PTFE components, special-shaped PTFE parts, or custom-machined PTFE parts) are sealing and mechanical components manufactured from PTFE resin that are not standard shapes. Unlike standard O-rings, gaskets, or sheets, these parts are designed and manufactured to meet specific application requirements, complex geometries, non-standard sizes, tight tolerances, or specialized material grades .
The problem they solve: Standard off-the-shelf PTFE parts do not fit your equipment. Your flange is non-standard. Your application demands a specific geometry, tolerance, or material grade that catalog products cannot meet. You are forced to modify standard parts, time-consuming, expensive, and performance compromised.
Examples of custom parts: Custom gaskets (non-standard sizes), valve seats, piston rings, bearing pads, bellows, insulators, wear rings, complex multi-feature components — any shape you can draw, we can make from PTFE.
Manufacturing methods: CNC machining (turning, milling, drilling) and compression molding. CNC machining is suitable for complex geometries and small-to-medium batches with tight tolerances (±0.02mm) . Compression molding is ideal for large-diameter parts and high-volume production.

Manufactured to your exact specifications, perfect fit, no modifications, no compromises.
Material engineered for your media, temperature, pressure, and environment, we choose the right grade for your application.
Precision machining (±0.02mm) ensures dimensional accuracy and consistent performance.
From single prototype to high-volume production are all supported. No minimum order quantity for custom parts.
Free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis, we recommend geometry or material alternatives to reduce cost without compromising function.
Every batch traceable from raw material to finished part. Material certificates available on request.
Virgin PTFE and select filled grades meet FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 requirements for food and pharmaceutical applications.
A: Please send us four things:
(1) Drawing or sketch: 3D (STEP/IGES), 2D (PDF), or even a hand sketch with key dimensions.
(2) Material grade: virgin or filled? We recommend if you are unsure.
(3) Quantity: prototype, small batch, or production volume.
(4) Application: temperature, media, pressure (so we can recommend the right grade).
Quote turnaround: 24 hours. We provide free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback with every quote, if your design is costly to produce, we suggest alternatives without compromising function.
A: Standard machining tolerance: ±0.05mm (±0.002").
Precision tolerance: ±0.02mm (±0.0008") available for critical features.
Lead time: Prototype 5-7 days. Small batch (10-100 pcs) 10-15 days. Production (100+ pcs) 15-20 days for molded parts, 10-15 days for machined parts.
Shipping: Air freight 5-10 days; sea freight 15-30 days.
Choose Taifno, we recommend the best option for your budget and timeline. Any shape, any size, any grade, you send the drawing, we deliver the part.
A: Temperature: -180°C to +200°C (up to +300°C short-term, +330°C for PPL grades).
Chemical limits depend on grade: Virgin PTFE is chemically inert to almost everything, except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine.
Glass-filled: not for HF or strong alkali.
Carbon-filled: not for strong oxidizers.
Most common mistakes: Designing for injection molding (PTFE cannot be injection molded), specifying tolerances too tight for the application (adds cost), or choosing the wrong grade for your media.
We help you avoid these, as a professional manufacturer, we can offer free DFM review with every quote. By evaluating your design, confirming compatibility with your media, we will recommend the right grade, and suggest geometry alternatives for lower cost.
